If you use Easyspace as your hosting company, you can set up your iPhone, iPod and iPad to receive email notifications as soon as you get mail. This feature is called 'Push' email. Standard email settings for POP or IMAP accounts require you iDevice to make periodic checks to discover new emails, but with PUSH Notifications enabled, your device does not have to constantly use Power and Data allowance, but instead has the notification pushed direct to you, within seconds of receipt of a new email.

To set up PUSH email, you need to go to 'Settings', 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' and then 'Add Account...'

For a long time now I have promoted AVG antivirus, but recently I have found that emails are not scanned as they come in, and a Virus is able to sit in the Inbox of Outlook and only be detected upon trying to open the attachment. I found though with Avast that the Virus was picked up before anyone had a chance to open the email. For the basic free package made available for home users, Avast packs in quite a substantial feature set. I fully recommend their free package for the average home user. However, for the more substantial internet users, people that find they are regularly browsing content on sites where they do not know how reputable the company is; I cannot encourage you enough to invest in the more advanced program that Avast offer.

Im fairly new to using Wordpress, my sites are hosted on Easyspace, and I have had no end of issues getting the Plugin Installer to add new plugins.
My first problem was that my server was a Microsoft IIS hosted system, and the function CHMOD to change folder write permissions did not work.
Easyspace do not offer a service to change permissions yourself, and using the //data/ folder did not work. I called them and they offered to set the permissions for me, but I asked them to change my hosting to a Unix system instead. The changeover took two hours and left me with the freedom to set up access using CHMOD.

I thought this was the solution, however, once the write permissions where set up, it asks for FTP information, and the usual settings entered into your FTP software will most likely not work.
