Malwarebytes to Recover from Infection

This is my virus disaster recovery software of choice. For those who have not opted for a full Antivirus package and have been infected, this is the program that I use to repair 95% of virus infections. You need to reboot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key, at the top of the keyboard, while the computer loads into Windows, (you should get a black on white screen requiring a choice to be made with the arrow keys on your keyboard, choose 'Safe Mode with Networking' and press Enter) run a registration 'FixEXE' patcher to stop the virus loading every time you try to run a program - then install. I advise using a memory stick to get the downloaded files to your infected computer. Click here for the tools and further advice!

Download MalwareBytes from http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Download FixExe in either .reg format or .zip format.
Once you have scanned your computer and found any infections, restart and then scan it again. After is has scanned and not found any new viruses, read this article on Avast Antivirus.

Another really good tool I recently found is called 'Remove Fake Anitivirus'. This tool together with MalwareBytes makes a very good combination.
